Isagenix® Named Among Area’s Healthiest Employers

Isagenix Canada Health and WellnessCHANDLER, Ariz. – Isagenix, a leading health-and-wellness company, was named one of the Valley’s 2011 Healthiest Employers by the Phoenix Business Journal during a ceremony honoring companies who are role models for supporting a healthy lifestyle.

The World Leader in Nutritional Cleansing and Replenishing™ was named the No. 16 company in the Midsize Firms category during the awards program held at the Westin Kierland Resort today. Isagenix was chosen from hundreds of companies that participated in the contest, and the winning 2011 Healthiest Employers were each selected into three categories: Large Company with 1,500 or more employees; Medium Company with 250-1,499 employees; and Small Company with fewer than 249 employees.

With nearly 300 employees at its Chandler headquarters, Isagenix offers on-site monthly health workshops, weekly sessions with a health coach, reimbursement of gym fees and a generous employee discount on all of the company’s nutritional, anti-aging, and skincare products.

Most notably, the company also hosts an annual Employee IsaBody Challenge™ where the top five participants that improve their health and wellness will receive up to $5,000 cash and many other prizes. An incredible, collective figure of 397.5 pounds were lost and a record-breaking 431.5 inches were lost in the latest Challenge. One former winner and current employee lost more than 100 pounds thanks to the Challenge.

"Our vision at Isagenix is to impact world health and free people from physical pain and it starts right here at home,” says Isagenix Co-Founder and Executive Vice President Kathy Coover. “The health of our employees is a top priority and we’re proud to see how Isagenix is changing lives even at our world headquarters in Chandler."

To facilitate the 2011 Healthiest Employers contest, the Phoenix Business Journal teamed with Healthiest Employers, a wellness technology and data research company focused on corporate wellness. Phoenix-area companies were then invited to participate in a survey that measured their workplace wellness efforts. Data from the surveys was collected and an online assessment tool measured wellness programming in six key categories: culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analysis.
