Isagenix Announces First Expansion Outside of North America

CHANDLER, Ariz. – Jan. 20, 2007 – Isagenix, a health and wellness company that develops and manufactures nutritional cleansing, weight-loss and youth-restoring systems, today announced Hong Kong as its first expansion outside of North America. The company will officially begin doing business in Hong Kong in March.

"We’re really excited about opening our first market outside of North America," said Isagenix President of International Expansion Warren T. Te Brugge. "Hong Kong is our first venture into the global market arena. It will be our gateway to take Isagenix products and our vision to the rest of the world."

Added Isagenix President and CEO Jim Coover, "We believe Isagenix has the best products on the planet, and we want everyone worldwide to experience these life-changing products—and our next stop is Hong Kong."

Coover gave three reasons why Hong Kong was chosen: one, the company’s research showed Hong Kong’s government is very business friendly; therefore the country offers a very favorable business climate. Second, other network marketing companies have done very well in Hong Kong. Third, the country is bi-lingual, with English as the other language.

Margaret Ip has been appointed as general manager and Carol Poon the marketing manager of the Isagenix Hong Kong office. According to Isagenix COO/CFO Jim Pierce, they are "very capable individuals with many years of experience who will help to quickly solidify our presence in this new international market."

Isagenix’s products are currently distributed through an independent network of Associates in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. The company estimates it has more than 10,000 Chinese-speaking Associates throughout North America.

Chandler, Ariz. – March 24, 2007 – The nutritional cleansing revolution is going worldwide. It was a historic moment when more than 100 top Associates traveled across the world to celebrate Isagenix’s expansion into the Hong Kong market March 24. They were joined by many aspiring local Associates at the grand opening of the company’s new office on the 42nd floor of Langham Place overlooking the Hong Kong harbor.

This marked the company’s first venture outside of North America and the introduction of Isagenix’s nutritional cleansing message to the Asia Pacific region.

“We’ve found that our products meet the needs of the increasingly health-conscious people of Hong Kong,” said Jim Coover, adding that Hong Kong’s business-friendly government, commercial environment and superb location to access the rest of the region.

Isagenix President of International Operations Warren T. Te Brugge said, “We chose Hong Kong because it is a gateway to the rest of the Asian region and, in fact, the rest of the world. It is an economically vibrant growth-oriented, multi-cultural community, which is central to Asia as a hub not only for commerce, but, in fact, travelers in the region. Our intent is to become a part of the fabric of the communities around the world that we enter into, starting with Hong Kong.”

One of the highlights of the grand opening event was the traditional Chinese ceremony of lion eye-dotting, performed by Isagenix Co-founders Jim and Kathy Coover. This was followed by the “lion’s awakening dance,” featuring increasingly intensified beating drums—a ceremony symbolizing good fortune for the company.

The celebration continued March 25 at a Regal Airport hotel where more than 350 Associates received rigorous business training with leaders. Speakers included Jim and Kathy Coover, Te Brugge, Hong Kong General Manager Margaret Ip, as well as 6-star Golden Circle Executives Susan Sly and Luna Pang, 5-star Golden Circle Executive Vincent Jiang and 4-star Golden Circle Executive Chloe Tong.
